Richfield, in southeastern Washington County, incorporated as a village in 2008 but has kept a largely rural, open feel. It sits along the US 41/45 corridor about 25 minutes from downtown Milwaukee and includes the unincorporated communities of Colgate and Hubertus. Friess Lake and Bark Lake are within the village, and the Richfield Historical Park preserves a 19th-century mill and farmstead.
Homes and prices
Most homes in Richfield are single-family houses on an acre or more, many built from the 1970s on, along with some newer subdivisions, lake homes and hobby farms. Almost every home is owner-occupied, and there are very few condominiums or rentals. Buyers here usually want space and privacy while staying within commuting distance of Milwaukee, Germantown and Menomonee Falls.
Schools
Most of Richfield is in the Holy Hill Area School District, which runs the village's K–8 schools; its students generally go on to Hartford Union High School. Some addresses are in neighboring districts such as Germantown or Slinger, so confirm the district for a specific property.
